What is the name of that game that everyone was all up in a lather about a little while back? It's still in development. Satellite pictures, split world where you run a region of a former country. I think WSUCougar had started the thread. This is my monthly request for information on it since I can't for the life of me remember what the hell it was called. Thank you.

No, it had hexagon spaced satellite maps/photos, very detailed. Lots of very detailed units from all the major powers. The premise is that the world had descended into an organized anarchy with the only real force being a global trade network. Your objective was to take over a region, say the Pacific Northwest, and try and develop it while dealing with your neighbors. It was far more ambitious than any game of its type I've seen. Still in development as far as I know.

Urgh.
Sorry, I can't recall the specifics, although it does sound familiar. Hope you find it!

From the Superpower 2 website:
However, compared to the original game, SuperPower 2 has been improved generally
I think it needs a bit more than general improvement.
