Simmons vs. Wiley

ugh...i read most of this, and it was unbearable. clearly Simmons' worst to date, and what's with Wiley (the worst writer on the internet anywhere...ok,ok, just ESPN's worst writer) trying his awful Simmons impersonation. i understand SportsGuy's work has his charisma and one of the guy's personlality shine through, but no need to alter your own writing "voice" or style and make a mockery of yourself.

went on for way too long. they could have broke this down into several smaller parts. how they think anyone cares enough about what is essentialy two average guy's opinions to sit through that nonsense is beyond me.

one time i read a Wiley article that was written so bad (it was an anti-hot girl article) i sent him an email that asked him if it was intentionally not good, and he wrote me back with some lame ass excuse as to what he was trying to get across. i don't like his crappy work.

all in all a bad article/idea from sports guy/wiley.

I love the Sports Guy, but there's no way I could get through all of this. He had a few good lines (like the part about OJ killing the NHL because he loved it too much), but I don't have time to wade through pages of awkward homeboy patter to get there.

The scary part is his reference to the "next" time they do this. Assuming that each one of these monstrosities means one less mailbag or ramblings, then please, someone put a slug in Wiley now.

If this is what we can expect from Bill Simmons now that he has a new contract with ESPN, well, frankly, I think he should go back to writing for Jimmy Kimmel and posting for Page 2 once a month.

I can actually read a Wiley article but when he shows up to do little rants on SC he's unbearable. It's all the bad writing with this overblown smugness, not cool.
