I have been a loyal customer of OOTP since version 2, and I've always been impressed with how quickly Markus addressed bugs/crashes when they were causing problems...

However, after the first patch, it has been a while since we've even had a "hint" of an update and I have been unable to play the game because of a killer crash that renders my game unplayable.

In the past, Markus would smash these types of bugs quickly, so I've been patient, but having waited now for a month or so, I've just grown too tired of waiting to not say something...

I know others are having this same problem...running Windows 98, when I go to the trade offer screen and I go into a teams roster, if I click on a player to get a scouting report, the game immediately crashes. There's really no way to work around this if I want to make trades...

I would have posted this at the OOTP boards, but the general consensus over there seems to be that the patch will be ready when it's ready, we will not comment on it now, be happy you even have the game, don't ever say anything negative... (ok, maybe not quite that bad, but still, I trust this board a lot more...)

Just a guy letting off some frustration as I see my association come crashing down as I attempt to get a baseball fix on a beautiful day in Michigan...

On the off chance the game was written in .net, then it won't work with win9x computers.

Written in C++ alone, from what I recall reading.
