You can see an old logo and a quick video montage of the demo. Screenshots are old.

I guess the question that begs to get asked... What was the previous high-water mark you had to make this comparison???

Each of the 'what do you look like threads'
And if you are brave enough to go through the whole "From The Floor" picture section on that Sega site, you can find my mugshot as well :D There, I've had my 15 seconds of internet fame. Now back to the code.....
Now back to the code.....
I agree with this part:D
Back to the dungeon with you!
And don't come out until we see a copy of EHM:FE

Looking forward to your game Riz!
Glad to know that you and that Markus(OOTP) guy are on the same team now.
SI is building nice source of sim gaming.
Bring it on!

This game will be my next gaming purchase. :)
This is the only pro genre in which my team has never won a championship! :)

Good luck with the last bits of programming, Riz. It was good seeing you at the show. I'm Ian, we talked on Friday for about 30 minutes right during your run to the playoffs (how did you do anyways?), I was all concerned with all the junior leagues being represented. :)

Yeah, I remember, you stuck around for quite some time to catch a lot of aspects of the game :)
We eventually ended up as sellers at trade deadline because we were on a losing streak and 11th in East, sending Kozlov (our highest scorer) and McEachern (both pending UFAs) to Rangers for Lundmark and rights to Prucha as well as trimming budget elsewhere as well. However, Kovalchuk had a late season burst in scoring and after netting only 8 in his first 30, he finished the season with 57 goals. With one game to go, we had battled to a point where we were 9th in East, one point behind Tampa Bay, with one game to go for both. And naturally we played Tampa just to double the stakes. After winning that game 6-3 we went out to Bruins in the playoffs in six which was a hard fought battle.
Sorry for spilling a story like this...I know..you shalt not tease :D

Yugh, the SEGA girls aren't exactly supermodels-in-waiting. It just goes to show an average girl in real life becomes an object of desire in an IT department.

One thing about the demo. Although I think this game is going to be great and I love text-sims, the video tried to hard to make it seem like the game was somehow an exhilarating rollercoaster ride.
LOL Riz I know you were trying to give an interview with the Finn press guys during the final game of the season and your partner (I have no idea who he is, sorry) kept on throwing updates and distracting you, hehe.
I was extremely impressed with the demo, I thought it took the best parts of the original EHM and added a lot of the depth of CM thanks to the database. I absolutely can't wait to play the game.

If you're hanging out around the SEGA girls, you're hanging out with the wrong booth babes. :D

I'm curious as to how in-depth the NHL record keeping is, whether there will be an in-game editor and how good the NHL Hall of Fame will be.
Just to update a bit:
SI announces new NHL EHM logo and new NHL screenshots (http://www.sigames.com/news.php?type=view&article_id=910)
As for the records, the records keep track of the most common records plus there are all time top 10 lists as well as yearly leaders. You'll see more closely fairly soon with the beta demo :D

Tell Graeme I would do that trade in a second, no matter what Entry Draft pick he selects. :)
Oh, and tell him to quit abusing my Ducks! Next time a screen goes up, they better be in the playoffs! ;)

Brian Leetch with 96 points? And 81 PIM? At his age?

The Red Wings in 8th place? Aw come on! This doesn't bode well. This looks suspiciously like the begining of Johnny's EHM dynasty. No. me. gusta.

Riz, as maybe the only Columbus Blue Jackets fan following this game, I noticed that you have their nickname in the game as the "Bluejackets." According to how it is officially, there is a space between Blue and Jackets, as I have at the beginning of the post. I didn't know where to post this at, but I figure here would be a good place, since this is where I saw the screenshots. I hope its an easy fix, but if not, its definitely alright, I'll still probably be the only one playing as them :)

Two questions:
- I've mentioned this before and been told not to worry, but I really, really hope that we'll have the option to "North American-ize" the view for things like scores ("2:4"?), currency (dollars, not pounds) and dates (month first, not day). It will be really tough to get immersed in the game if everything is set to European standards.
- As someone pointed out, a defenceman leading the scoring race is pretty unlikely. Actually, the screenshot has five defencemen in the top 12 for scoring -- in the real NHL, the top scoring defenceman was only 40th overall. Might need a tweak here.

Yeah. That bothered me a bit since Orr is the only defenceman ever to win the Art Ross. Leetch is good, but not THAT good, never has been, and as you said, not at his age.

I think what I saw over at the sigames.com boards was that the simulator was ran, without the full engine going...so the results were not typical of the game.

Yeah, and while you're at it, please make sure "defenseman" is spelled correctly in the game. :D
As mentioned by Graeme on the SI boards, those stats were created by a quick sim engine (that is still being tweaked here and there) that is used to simulate stats to players in non-featured and background leagues. He just turned the proper engine off (debug option) to get to the end of the season quicker to get the screens done. So stats wise the screens are a bit misleading.
There are options in the game to use either imperial/metric measurements, north-american or european score displays (away at home, or home vs away) as well as changing the currency used and the salary displays (weekly, monthly, annual). Oh, and you can make the game clock run up or down as well. And there are some other general options in there as well, but these are the ones that affect the NA/Europe display differences.
