As you can see now my computer is stuttering ridiculously. I thought it might be my USB hub so i disconnected it. Nope. I updated my nvidia graphics card driver. still doing it. Anybody have any ideas?

Hmmm, interesting, do you have another PCI slot to try that wireless card in? Perhaps the card is conflicting with something else in the PC. Sometimes I miss the pre-plug-n-play days where you could manually set I/O addresses and IRQs with jumpers.
Also, you may be getting some interference from somewhere else. Try changing the channel that the wireless is operating on.

Log into your router, if you don't know the IP address of your router go to Start>run> type CMD and hit OK. At the dos prompt type ipconfig. What is listed as the default gateway should be your router's IP. Type that IP into your web browser. It will then probably ask you for a password which should be listed in your instruction manual. Once inside the router you should see all sorts of wirelss configuration options for things such as the SSID, WEP, and the channel.
I'm about to head out for the night, but I'll check this thread tomorrow to see if you got it.

Go to the computer that is hooked up to the router. In your address bar type 192.168.1.1 Unless you changed the password, I am betting it is "linksys"
Now up top there should be a setup tab. click it and look down a bit into the wireless-g part. There will be a channel thing you can scroll. Change it to 6,7 or 11, then hit apply and see if that helps at all.
Oh crap, I just realized you might not have a linksys setup. Ignore me.
