...there comes a season...

...and in this season I need to bid a fond farewell to my friends on this board.

I have an opportunity right now to pursue a dream, and I far too easily succomb to distractions because of my insecurity over ever achieving that dream. In life's long list of priorities, some had to go to make room for a full assault on that dream. Sadly, FOFC is a distraction too compelling.

And so, revrew must bow out of the FOFC. Racers Rewbie Newsday and Rewbie Bluesday have retired. I relinquish the title of "President of Chuck Farley fan club" (to, perhaps, Chuck U. Farley?). I will hang around long enough to watch our victory on Mars (GB's dynasty is way too good not to find out how it ends; I'll catch up every now and then until we make a toast in memory of the Sectoid race.)

Which, leaves, most frighteningly, the commish job of the ZFL. I simply cannot continue it. At it's height, the job took up to an hour every day to maintain the league. I can't afford that time any more.

I could, however, slim the process if another commish would like to step up. It wouldn't have to take nearly so much time as I put into it. So, if there is a volunteer, I will train him.

I know that Kodos went on hiatus when he was buying a house, Godzilla Blitz when he was working on a degree, and others when they had children or what not. Perhaps that's all this is. Perhaps the dream is right around the corner and I can return to tell you all about it. But until then, fare well, and may God bless you, or strike you--whatever it takes to draw you into his arms. Yikes. You never want to see one of your favorites disappear, but there are other things in life besides FOFC. My wife would like to write stories and such, but with a six-month-old, it's become something she's had to push to the side, so I know somewhat what effort needs to be made to get something like this done. You practically need to barracade yourself in a room and make sure the phone is disconnected to get any progress made. :)
