Falcons 7-9, maybe 8-8 if Vick plays all 16, 5-11 if he doesn't.

Oklahoma: 13-0, Big XII, Orange Bowl, and National Champions
Northwestern: 6-6, hopefully going to a bowl, probably won't. If Basanez doesn't suck so bad we could be okay with our dominating lines on both sides of the ball.

49ers: Not very good, but I still like Rattay.

Can I hear your reason behind this? They only play two challenging games all season - USC in the opener (in D.C.) and at Miami.

We have more experience returning than USC and it's going to essentially be a home game. I think we take it in a close game. Miami still doesn't have a QB and we torched them last season. We'll take that game easily.

This Bucs are trying to redefine themselves as we speak. So either they go 12-4 or 4-12....probably closer to the average (8-8)

I think the Falcons are the big "on paper" champions going into this season in the division.

But knowing how wacky the NFL is, Carolina and New Orleans will probably be the 2 teams fighting to the finish...

So if we have all these one lost teams in college football who will be the champion? Texas in my opinion will lose at least two games, Virgina Tech three, OU well I haven't been impressed but I see you guys making a run for the title. USC is the only team i know for sure who will play for the title unless Washington State knocks them out other then that it is a smooth ride.

Cowboys: 9-7

Gonna be a bit of a step backwards this year with a young O-line and teams learning how to really slow down our passing game towards the end of last year.

UTEP: 4-7

Certainly going to be better than last year, but we lost a lot of talent on the O-line. We still haven't found a starting QB yet with three guys fighting for that spot. Defense should be much improved, and that should make at least a two win difference...

The AFC North is Bengals v Ravens again, Pittsburgh has too many holes to fill on both side of the ball, Cleveland is a ship without a sail right now.

The key to this division title is the QB situation in both Baltimore and Cincinnati, the ravens just lost their primary backup for most of the season to surgery, so they really have to hope that their "QB of the future" gets his shit together this year.

CIncinnati of course lives and dies on Carson Palmer's play this year, I'm betting he's the real deal, Bengals win 10 possibly 11 games with a majorly ugraded defense protecting them from his mistakes.

Bengals win the division Ravens fight for a wild card and fall short.

Bengals win one playoff game then falter due to inexperience.

Nope... we'll make it 3 straight on Thanksgiving. (Hopefully early enough where I can do the drive to NJ, watch the game, go home and get my turkey) :p

Actually UConn's schedule matches up very nicely to win at least 7, barring an injury to Dan Orlovsky. If Orlovsky goes down, I'd expect a much worse performance (of course I expected that last year when Caulley went down against VPI). I expect UConn to be favored at Rutgers this year... and win, but it will be a lot tougher then expected.

That said I'm rooting for Rutgers in every game except for Thanksgiving, if both teams can continue to develop, then the Big East's future in football is a lot brighter then people think.

I see the Bengals going 9-7 this season and finishing one game out of the playoffs. They will improve over last year, but with Carson playing taking his first snaps and a very tough schedule, I just don't see a great team yet.

However, I think Rudi will reach 1,200 yards, Perry will rush for 500 and catch a few balls for another 300 hundred yards and 2-3 TD's.

Chad Johnson will put up 1,400+ yards and 12 TD's.

Palmer will throw for over 20 TD's, but will throw over 15 int's in his first season.

The offense will be strong, but a young-rebuilding defense will not quite be there yet. Last season they were very weak against the run. I see them improving to middle the pack, but they are really a year away.

In 2005, I see the Bengals starting to pull away from the North as Jamal Lewis winds down and Palmer separates himself from Kyle Boller.

TCU: They will lose 2 games. I'm thinking Tech in a shootout and Louisville because Louisville is due. They will paste Southern Miss for last season. But I get a bowl game and hopefully a national ranking so me happy.

Texas: They will lose 2 games. Hopefully OU isn't one of them. Benson makes a legitimate Heisman run. Vince Young drives teams nuts and the defense steps it up with a new scheme. Derrick Johnson wins several awards. I would say less than 2 losses, but Mack Brown is there.

Aggies: Improvement on both sides of ball. 7-5 maybe. Franchione begins to assert himself.

Cowboys: 9-7 and wildcard.

Rangers: I'm not going to say anything since I thought they would be lucky to win 65 this season.

Saints:Barely make the playoffs, but make a panther-like run in the post season before losing in the NFC championship game.(When the Saints have been good the past few years they have been damn good, when they have been bad they have really slipped. Perhaps they finally turn it on at a beneficial time?)

LSU:At least one loss in the regular season, either to Auburn or Georgia. Win in the SECCG. Win in a non NC BCS game. (Or perhaps the NC if no team really steps up record wise this year.)

Yes, unfortunately this one (and possibly the first) time, Rix didn't allow his ego to get the best of him, so he came back instead of declaring for the draft, where we all know he would have made the Eli Manning sweepstakes a non-issue. NFL scouts and GMs will just have to suffer through the disappointment one more year.

Ordinarily, I'd be thrilled to have a 5th year senior QB back, and truthfully, he'll do enough good things to warrant being the starter over the guys we have behind him, but he'll also get that "deer in the headlights" look on several crucial plays this year, and instead of balls dropping harmlessly away from DBs or taking a sack, he'll somehow turn ordinary bad plays into extraordinarily awful plays that will score points for the opponent, keeping FSU from winning 2-3 games they should have won this year.

That's my prediction. Either 9-3 or 10-2 (with a bowl win), although I suppose it's possible that the guys in the backfield could overcome Rix in the potential losses to pull them out. The only way we beat Miami is a blowout, though. And on the road, I don't see that happening.

It's unrealistic not to think the Tigers will lose atleast one of their home games against CU, OKST, KST, and KU. And it's also unrealistic to think they won't drop 2 of their road games. The three losses I picked are where I think they will probably stumble, but it could be other games. They have the talent to beat every team they play this year with the UT game being the toughest of the year. However they still won't have a top 10 defense and that is going to cost them a couple of games next year.

WSUCougar

It's important for Mizzou to get out of the gate strong. Rather than stumbling over the early-season cupcakes, they need to stomp them. Get their new offensive line jelling, their defense on the same page, and their running game cranked up. Smith will take care of himself.

10-2 is what I was going to put but I figure we would be in the title game but maybe lose but as I have gon in my research I have come to believe we will win or be apart of the group claiming for a piece of the title.

1. Miami - L. I don't think we win even though Miami has the winning streak they will be ready for Florida State... they want it bad for some reason.
2. UAB - W
3. Clemson - W. But this will be close but the defense should good by then.
4. UNC - W
5. Syracuse - W. I dont think Rix blows it here.
6. Virgina - W. If it were not at Doak I would say a lost.
7. Wake Forest - W. But one of the running backs will get hurt(Leon Washington)
8. Maryland - W. We could very well lose this one but we seem to have them in the mind.
9. Duke - W.
10. NC State - W. Rivers was everything for them if they can replace him give them the W.
11. Florida - W. They havent won since 1986.

Looking at the road to the Orange Bowl I dont see why not. 10-1 is possible... Maryland, NC State, Virgina and Wake Forest can give us a game but I dont see us losing to them. But if I had to chose I would go with NC State cause of Chuck Amato...

Random fearless prediction: Texas will somewhat collapse this year. I always hear people say "What if Texas finally plays up to their full talent level?" Well, what happens when Mack has a team with not enough leaders, particularly on offense, and the team plays down to the head coaching level? The Texas D will be good this year, but I see the offense struggling a bit. Perhaps around 4 losses, including a few amazing upsets against the Horns. Vincent Young and the passing game will struggle with the losses at WR, despite young talent on that side of the ball.

Oakland Raiders 12-4, and back to the Bowl. Yes, I am serious. All signs point to you bet were back, and so on, and so on.

It's funny to see the diehard Falcons fans thinking around 9-7. I thought Mr. Excitement can single-handedly win all of the games by himself? :D

Patriots 11-5
Bolts 7-9

Padres 90-72, 2nd place, just missing wild-card

Remember what I said Noop? We will start the season 2-1(Clemson wins) then we run thru the rest setting up a possible championship next season. Anyway if you see this before we speak, ask if I can come to the Gables with you guys today. We will end the season in the top 5 this season you can take it to the bank.
