I don't know how many of you have tried out Sacred, a fairly new RPG, but it's pretty good. It's an RPG along the lines of Diablo - hack n' slash - with an interesting gameworld and just enough story to keep everything tied together. It's not linear and there's a lot to go kill. The gameworld is HUGE - I spent 48 hours in gametime playing a dark elf on bronze level and probably saw about 75% of the world.
The graphics are very good and the character-building is also quite varied. They're still tweaking the game and the character powers. Patch 1.66 is the latest, patch 1.70 will really rebalance the game and is expected in June.
It's been a while (KOTOR) since a RPG really grabbed me and sucked me in for some marathon gaming sessions. Funny that it's the exact opposite of KOTOR, which was linear and story driven - two things Sacred isn't. It's the best Diablo game, well, since the original Diablo in my book.
Again, it still has some balance issues and a few bugs left, but it's got that "just one more quest" feel that all great games have.
