I immediately thought of Rev when I read that article. 15 kids...in 16 years.
so, putting on my Quicksand hat, she had 2 sets of twins, so 13 pregnancies in 16 years. Let's fudge a bit and say 13 pregnancies in 17 years (she said she started having babies when she was 21, but she may have been pregnant when she was 20). So, 13 pregnancies * 9 months per pregnancy = pregnant for 117 of the 204 months since she first got pregnant, or about 60% of the time.
or, in another way of looking at it...she's been pregnant for 117 of the 444 months she's been alive. For just over one fourth of her life, she's been pregnant. the other 3/4 of her life goes to cooking, cleaning, laundry, changing diapers... :)

She's from Arkansas, has 15 kids, and her husband's name is Jim Bob. Perfect.
There's a reason why stereotyping comes so naturally to humans, I just can't put my finger on it...
All the kids' names start with "J". One of them is named "Jinger". Maybe they need to expand beyond the J's.

same here. How's it go, it's been awhile?
Every sperm is sacred, every sperm is great, if a sperm is wasted, God gets quite irate.

Every sperm is wanted. Every sperm is good. Every sperm is needed. In your neighborhood.

One of my favorite exchanges, from Groucho Marx on You Bet Your Life:
- - -
The most infamous remark of Groucho's You Bet Your Life years supposedly occurred when he was interviewing a Mrs. Story, a contestant with twenty-two children (reputedly the largest family in America at the time):
GROUCHO: "Why do you have so many children? That's a big responsibility and a big burden."
MRS. STORY: "Well, because I love my children and I think that's our purpose here on Earth, and I love my husband."
GROUCHO: "I love my cigar, too, but I take it out of my mouth once in a while."

Might be apocryphal, but it's damned funny either way.

Actually, I think if Mrs. Story put her "cigar" in her mouth more often, she'd have fewer children.

Come on, you can laugh. I live within 30 minutes of Wakulla County, which is where Jerry Springer got/gets (is he still on?) 60% of his guests. It's all good!

Hey! My brother, sister, and I all have the same initials. Of course, there are only three of us...
