...but this one has to take the cake. Jay Bouwmeester, out for ten days with bursitis of the 'olecranon.'
The olecranon, as best as I can tell, either is, or is very NEAR to, the funny bone.
That just ain't right.

An inflamed elbow surprises you?

Didn't know bone could be inflamed. As best as I can tell, the olecranon is the bone, or part of the bone, that connects the ulna and the whadyacallit.
(Whatcha want? I'm no doctor. I just know this sounded incredibly painful)

Well technically the bursa is inflamed and not the bones themselves.

Like I said, I'm no doc. I tried to figure out what it meant, and it sounded like the funny bone went boom.
Which, call me crazy, but that sounds more painful to me than a lot of the other injuries I've seen (blown MCL? Bah! Walk it off, I say!)

I could have said John Blowmetobermuda, and it wouldn't have made a difference. It wasn't the who, it was the what.
And yes, it's hockey.

Didn't we have an infamous quote of the moment that suggested ways to take care of this problem?

On a related note, is Buzzbee getting a new helmet? ;)
