OMG, Raymer is running hot.

I'm trying to figure out how to get there
Raymer gets another scalp, busting Mattias Andersson who held AK. Raymer's AT hits a gutshot straight on the river and Greg has right at 10 million.

I'm in the IRC now.
Raymer is one lucky ass son of a bitch. He's called two all-ins and been behind at the time only to get bailed out. He's got a huge chip lead and the cards are hot. Don't know how he's going to lose.

For the record, it wasn't a gutshot.

For the record, it wasn't a gutshot. Even more for the record, it was. 7-J and he spiked the 8 on the river.
Edit: N/M RPI is right. There was a Q on the board as well. So while it did make complete a gut shot, the high straight made was an open ender. My bad.
no rpi is actually right, it was 8-Q :) (open-ended : 9TJQ K or 8 completes it)

The thing is, Raymer put himself in great chip position, allowing him to call all-ins that he most certainly would have folded were he covered (or even). He did get lucky, but even if he lost he'd still be in good chip position.

Looking on at Poker Stars now myself. Is anything happening? My screen shows hand #37, and "waiting for the next batch of hands".
Is this WAY behind? or are they breaking now?

It's a very loose interpretation of "Near Real-Time"...you just gotta have patience to wait for action

I'm not able to watch because I'm at work. What's going on with Raymer? From reading the Pokerpages updates, it sounds like he's on major tilt.

OK so if I am following this right. They are now playing $10K antes with a sb of 30k and bb of 60K, right?
raymer lost a coinflop AK vs 66 and got hit with a major outdraw by harrington (5 - outter on the river). Then Josh and someone else came over the top of him on a couple of hands and he had to fold.

Looks like Raymer bounced back with a nice $3 million pot.

Anyone have a breakdown of the hand? I was working.
I dont remember the way the action came down, but Williams got him allin on a board of 88x when Williams had AA and Dean had AT.

I just got back from dinner. Looks like Raymer is still in great shape. How about Harrington too? Another top 5 finish at minimum again this year.

Hmm. Pokerpages reports Harrington losing out missing a straight draw while his opponent rivered a full boat.

PokerStars is now correcting that hand and it is indeed a boat for Williams with Harrington missing a straight draw.

So who had Greg Raymer?
A post from Greg Raymer at the 2+2 forums. A bit of foreshadowing :)

What hand did he win on?
Raymer had 88, Williams had A4. The flop flop was 245, turn 2, river 2. Williams raised preflop, Raymer called. Williams led at the flop and Raymer raised. Willams quickly called. Raymer led at the turn and Williams quickly called. Raymer pushed him all-in on the river and Williams quickly called.
