Impressive thus far. He made the Boston Red Sox his personal hitting cage, including Perdo Martinez.

Positive: Vlad is on my fantasy team.
Negative: So are Pedro and Foulke.

It's amazing what Vlad did to Boston pitching tonight. Didn't he just tie or break a franchise record for most RBI's in a game? Either way, 9 RBI's is still incredible. Unfortunatley for me, the guy I'm facing in my yahoo fantasy baseball has Vlad on his team (head to head league).

Wow... I knew Vlade was contemplating retirement from the NBA after this season, but I didn't figure on him picking up baseball so quickly.

:D
When I read the topic, I wasn't sure whether to expect baseball news (RBIs) or basketball news (Vlade). It made me more confused by the fact the the Kings aren't in the playoffs, so how would Vlade be getting any kind of stats..

Unfortunately, the baby kept us up well into the night, so I got to watch this game in its entirety. Very impressive, as was Eckstein's night. At this point, even if he has a solid second half, there's no way I'd give Pedro anything more than what Colon got last year (which was an overpayment in its own right).
Amazing stat part 2.... When Jarrod Washburn starts for the Angels, Vladdy hits .556, 6 HR and 22 (of his 49) RBIs.

Even after reading the batting cage thing, I thought Divac got a special Red Sox invite to hit in the cages or something.. heh.
