Just read he's a philadelphia bred horse.. and everyone in philly is latching on to him in hopes of winning something big..
I predict he gets 10 feet from the finish line and falls over dead.. he's doomed

He didn't fall dead, but in the figurative sense, he did...just in typical Philadelphia fashion.

Did anyone throw batteries at him?

He's not back to Philadelphia yet.. But i'm sure he'll get the same hero's welcome that the flyers did when they got eliminated... 3 drunks

No, but it looked like he got caught in the crossfire when they started pelting Santa Claus.

The race was in San Francisco?
I'm sure there were a few Philly folks there. :)

I don't think he'll receive the normal rude philadelphia treatment, most horse owners are more classy than the rest of the typical "Philadelphia 700 level" fan.
On a side note, I really wish people would get off the Santa Clause story. It was about 40 years ago, and the Santa was DRUNK at an Eagles game making a complete fool of himself. I don't think alot of people know that. They think that it was simply a good old jolly Santa getting pegged by savages.

Its just there is a multitude of bad philly fan stories that its just automatically assume they are to blame.. for god sakes your old football stadium had a court and jail cells underneath it :)

I'm bummed that there's no Triple Crown winner this year, but this thread made me smile. :D
I heart FOFC.

No more stories than any other city. It's just fashionable to jump on that stereotype.
