War Over Vietnam

this looks fairly interesting because it deals with mission planning and not joysticking.

That one has moved high up on to my "next game to purchase" list.

This seems to be pretty cool. I had Hours of enjoyment bombing and defending London in the "Battle of Brittain". The Talonsoft Strategic game, not the Talonsoft Flight Simulator of the same name.

Looks very interesting (although perhaps a bit more than I'm ready to chew on right now).
And somehow, this seems like as good a place as any to throw out a related question: Could someone comment on SB: Tour of Duty? Particularly as a campaign game (moreso than on an individual scenario level). Of all the games in the menu at HPS, it and Campaign Franklin caught my eye again this afternoon.

Jon,
Sorry - I am not a SB type and have not delved into the material pre ww2.
The SB series gets pretty solid reviews.

My favorite part of the game Flight of the intruder was planning the missions. I also used to play Battle of Britian, just for the strategic planning. I wish there were more flight sim that had really good planning. B17II was one, but unlike BOB there was no quick way to sim your results.

Jon Again
I don't have the game, so this is not first hand info, but...
HPS/Tiller do a good job of mix scenarios so that there are some small (easy to grasp) ones and some massive, not enough time in the year, types. If the idea of air mssion planning interests you, I think this is a safe enough buy. I will eventually get the game, but still have so many that I have not even opened like Rhezev '42.
Back to the SB games. I am told that they play a little like ASL, which is a bold claim.

Slight threadjack, but related...
I'm excited about this one:
Battles in Normandy (http://www.battlesinnormandy.com/)
It's based on the Korsun Pocket series.
Don't know what to make of this one, but it's coming soon:
War in the Pacific (http://www.warinthepacific.net/)
Looks like an amazing game, but one that would take years to play.

Based on Uncommon Victory, which is a great game. War in the Pacific was supposed to be out late the past winter, but it had some issues the developers wanted to resolve.
