Well,
My 7 year old is sick, woke up this morning running a 101 temp, tonsils the size of golf balls. So We have her down, and have broke the fever. But this has pretty much guranteed that the festivities that are going on around here, we will miss. (Utah shuts down on Sunday most everywhere, so our celebrations happened either Saturday or Tonight).
So besides waiting till about 3 to hit the Gym, I am cruising FOFC, and ripping my CD collection to MP3. (All my CD's, I used to have ripped then the HD they were on kind of died on me.) But of course, I will get all my Rush, Floyd, Doors, Steve Miller and various others to MP3, burned to CD to take to work.
Thats about it for me.

If you really want to know, I think I will go do a little working out on the punching bag here in a bit, then do the wondefully fun chore of giving the dogs flea/tick baths, 2 great danes and a mutt. After that, got a USFL draft to pay attention to tonight....

Same thing I've been doing since Friday the 25th of June/Saturday the 26th. Doctor's orders are that until my first post-op appointment, I do nothing but sit with my ankle elevated. Well, unless I'm going to the bathroom. So I'm sorta confined here.
If your daughter gets tonsilitis a lot, I'd highly recommend getting her tonsils out now while she's still young. I didn't have mine taken out until I was 22 and it was quite seriously the most painful thing I've ever experienced. According to my doc, as you get older it gets more painful (and slightly more dangerous, as there's an increased risk for bleeding), and some of his female patients have said it is worse than childbirth. I stopped eating for 3 weeks following the surgery and dropped 15 pounds.
My mom has the day off, too, so unforunately she's hanging out with me in the family room but she likes to watch a lot of Food TV and Home & Garden network. Ugh. Ugh a lot.

A odd day for me ... all quiet on the work front, but my possible quality gaming time was dashed by a yard work day :(
So far, I've discovered large (1-2") thorns on a bush I didn't realize had any thorns at all. Have also realized that a chain saw is going to be required for some of this project, so I'm dispatching my "staff" (aka out yard guy & my wife (who also needs closet stuff) to Lowe's shortly.
Being outside = blech (to me)

Naw, this is the first time she has gotten it.
Food TV isn't that bad, it's the H&G network I hate. Cartoon Network and Ed Edd and Eddy are on in the next room (No TV in my office until College Football Season)
Driving back to Chicago in a few hours. In the mean time, my wife and I are attending to my father in law, who had a firework contraption go off in his hand. We were in the emergency room until 2 this morning. :(

Uggh!
Don't you tell your parents it's not proper to hold your fireworks and light them? My kids reminded me of that everytime I wanted to have a little firework fun.
I hope he is ok.

I did not have the day off. Well, I got to leave an hour early. I was outside in hot, humid temps filling fire extinguishers with ABC powder. Fun. I was sweating like an mofo. They were large extinguishers and I had to use a funnel to pour the chemical in. So I got to breath that in, get it all over my hands, arms and face while sweating up a storm. Not a comfortable day at all.
But I finished, came home and took a nice, long, very cold shower.

I let my wife sleep in this morning and took the three year old out for breakfast. Moved some old wood that the last tenants had left under the deck... Orkin says termites are active in our yard, so out goes the wood. Went to Tyson's Corner to the mall there. On the way back stopped at a DQ and bought ice cream for the kids.
I think we might go to one of the neighborhood pools after dinner. All in all a very nice and relaxing day.
And btw, I find it very distressing that there's someone here with over 800 posts, and I don't recognize their name at all. Terpkristen, please tell me you hang out only in the hattrick forum. Otherwise, I've really got to cut back on the work and pay more attention to stuff around here.

Put a second coat of paint on the baby-to-be's room. Yeah. Now I must go wash the paint out of my hair.
Sadly, at 35, my wife did not notice a big patch of white paint in my hair for like 4 hours. Looks a lot like the other patches of white I guess :(

CamEdwards,
Yeah, I mostly do hang out in the Hattrick forum. I pop up every now and then in here and in the dynasty forum, but not too regularly.

Oh, and I'm debating on whether to buy EHM since I've used up my free demo time. 10 hours...not bad for a demo. Do I want to spend the $40...er, ah, ug?

My work decided to be nice and give us a half day. The unfortunate thing about it is, is that I work nights, so I don't go in until 2pm and work until 10 or so, but today I get to go in at 1pm and work until 6. I only wish those 5 hours weren't right smack in the middle of the day.....

Was supposed to play golf with 7 other friends this morning at 9am.
Woke up at 7:10am and heard the wind blowing something fierce outside. Managed to get my wife's plants in the garage along with the lawn furniture before a nasty storm hit. Winds up to 70mph, hail at times, and pounding rain. The electricity just came back on about 1pm cst. When all was said and done, my daughter's trampoline was standing on end up against the fence, which took some damage from the trampoline smashing up against it.
We drove around town and saw many trees down, houses damaged, etc.. Needless to say the golf course closed down.
Now... it's sunny, humid, and hot outside. Mow the lawn or grocery shop? I think I'll get the keys to the car.

I went to go see Nascar 3D at the IMAX theatre at Henry Ford Museum. I'm not really a Nascar fan but it was pretty cool. Also played a little CM and spent time recovering from a long night. Probably going to a bbq in a little bit, then going to bed early. Nice lazy summer day.

Day pretty much to myself. SWMBO had some work that she needed to finish, so she's been at the office, although it is closed. Got some stuff done in the yard, around the house, went to the gym, and of course did some text simming (FBCB and FOF2K4).

I've been playing City of Heroes pretty much since 7 a.m. EST, except for watching Out of Time and talking a walk with my wife and kids.

Worked from 7am to 11am. Came home and then brought my wife's mother and aunt to the train station, as they're going back home to Memphis. Came home and hung out with the wife a while. Now I'm sitting here about to fire up EHM.
Helped my dad out a little this morning, then went and borrowed a truck to move a desk to my house, so that I could have one for the laptop in the computer room. This way when my wife and I both want to have computer time, we can at least be in the same room. Now I plan to just hang out and play some poker or UT or something.

Went to work at 830am. Got off shortly after four. Drove up to Denton to check on my girlfriend's cat (she's out of town). Picked up a Hungry Man Dinner and a Ben and Jerry's pint. Now I'm just catching up on the board. Next I need to devise my devilish scheme to get El Paso to beat Fargo in the CFL tonight...

After a real quiet weekend, we did a little shopping and took my wife out to lunch at Chipotle (a regular spot for me downtown) after we dropped our son off at a week-long day camp at church. This afternoon we watched Food TV (burgers and hot dogs all day, yesterday was ice cream all day - hmmm) and she is now back to watching the usual HGTV stuff. I'm getting ready to go to Las Vegas in the morning and then wait for my brother from SF to fly in there. For three days, it will be....
