Just trying to decide what to train Thursday. Im going to play starters for the 3rd Rd tommorow so my B-team won't take the field this week to get the normal PM training. Trying to figure out If I should just train PM anyway so my starters get it...or I was thinking about training SP. (My stam is already pretty good and I dont want to take the form hit, so not training stam)

I already have a guy at excellent SP and he is my set pieces guy in the lineup, but my question is does training SP have any overall positive affect on the rest of the team that makes it worthwhile training it. If not, I'll just train PM so that my starting Mid fielders are just a week closer to popping down the road.

Anyone....Anyone....

IMO, I'd seriously reconsider not playing your trainee PM'ers, and starters everywhere else.

Yea but I'm playing a team which is almost equal/slightly below mine. By playing starters I should advacne and get a home game next week which means $$$ and another game of cup expierence. If I play my MF trainees I dont think I have as good a shot to win if any.. Im know this guy will play his starters becasue he has since round 1.

Yea', but look at it this way...

You make maybe $150-$200k extra in revenue if you're LUCKY.

Your trainees are getting you (hopefully) $75k-$100k per week in revenue.

Therefore, financially speaking, playing your trainees is the more effective move.

And that doesn't even consider that you could lose anyways playing your starters. Likewise, playing your trainees, you might win anyways.

Look at it this way:

There are four scenarios.

1) Play starters, win - gain $150k revenue
2) Play starters, lose - gain nothing
3) Play trainees, win - gain $150k revenue AND $200k-$300k in trainee value
4) Play trainees, lose - gain $200k+ in trainee value

As you can see the BEST case scenario with your starters has you making less money than the WORST case scenario with your trainees.

You do have me thinking now RPI. Thanks for the feedback. So i did some more research. I played my backups for the 2nd round game and my midfield was at wretched (very low) with a PIC. Won game 6-0. My oppenent is at Wretched(Low). (With starters). for the last 2 games. Maybe I'll play my backs up's who are all formidable 18 yr old middies(not good stam though) and I can hang with this chump...Team Handcuffs from V.36 ( I hope he's not a FOF'er) ;)

But still looking for some input on my original question on SP...does training SP have any positive affect on your team as a whole..or just the guy you designate as SP in your line up.

Training SP trains everyone on your team (even those who don't play) at SP, so yeah, it's worth training if you are thinking of forgoing PM training. But I wouldn't forgo PM training if I were you for the reasons RPI stated.

I played my MF trainees and won 2-1.

Thanks for the advice
