It's been 4 months since I am a DSL user and I am worried that my computer is infested with Spyware or any other malicious progs.

I have Ad-Aware (from Lavasoft) and it only found web-site cookies. Are there other anti-spyware progs I should try ?

spybot search & destroy is also passable. a combination of this plus adaware should get rid of everything.

I just googled for it and it is on several URLs. Which one would be safe ?

Also try Spybot - Search and Destroy: http://spybot.safer-networking.de

Also with a DSL or cable connection, you must have a firewall. You can get a good, free software one at http://www.zonelabs.com, if you don't have a hardware firewall.

[edit: Looks like I was too slow]

Thanks. It just found 2 URL redirect thingies, amongst other cookies and Key Registries (from websites I don't even know...)

I do have a built-in FW within my DSL modem. It has several run modes (even a source-destination-protocole config mode) but I don't want to use that specific option because my wife uses the computer and I don't want her to yell at me ;)
