What's next for Solecismic Software?
At this time, we're not ready to release information about our next project. Look for news releases on this web site later in 2004.
This was last updated February 27, 2004, and the year is half over! How much later in 2004? Throw us a bone, Jim! :D

It's still 2004, so later in 2004 is still valid ;)

No knowledge here, just speculation:
If it is TCY2, and has been from the start, I'd think we'll hear something sooner, rather than later. I'm saying that based on the amounts of time it appears that he has spent developing games in the past. Seems like he could get TCY2 done in time for a late August release at the latest (unless he were to add multiplayer capabilities, maybe), but that a new game might take a bit longer. There have been very few complaints about the TCY sim engine itself, so I'd assume that he'd have to put very little time into that portion of TCY2, but if he's doing a new sport, he's got to do a new engine.

the timing would be right for an announcement on TCY 2 within the next month I would say. We'll see.

I was hoping this thread would bump Jim into saying it was TCY2. Hasn't he announced other versions of FOF in July in the past?

It may still be a couple of weeks early. Mid to late July might be more likely. Of course, he may not be on the football schedule either. We are speculating.

FOF 2004 was announced in October.

I remember Jim saying that he had to a lot of research for this next game, so if it's TCY2, he's either adding a substantial part to it or he was throwing up a smokescreen. I'm still banking on a new sport...but that's just because TCY is still fun and a new sport would be better. Not that I would be opposed to TCY2. :D
