Anyone "read" the latest ESPN the Magazine? It was all pictures! The only thing close to an article was Dan Patrick's Outtakes section. I dont know if they plan to do a pictoral magazine frequently but it was terrible.
Did anyone enjoy the issue?

I was going to post a thread about this yesterday and forgot. Seriously, I want my money back for this piece of crap "issue" they printed. The first thing I do with it every time I get a new copy is flip towards the back for the news breakdowns for each sport. After flipping through it 3 times and finally figuring out there was nothing in this issue but pictures, it was quickly tossed in the trash.

Simply horrid. Awful. Worst...idea...ever...(at least for ESPN the Mag).
The pics were very boring. Plus, there's nothing to read in the bathroom! Which is why we all get the mag in the first place.

I didnt even see it stated anywhere that the issue was a pictoral until I flipped inside of the front cover and saw it there.
The_herd I read the little news briefs first as well. It took me about 40 pages of flipping to realize I wasnt gonna find them.
I like the magazine in general but if 4, 6, 8 or however many issues per year are going to be pictoral then I probably wouldnt continue a subsciption.

Just got mine today, this does not sound good :P
The magazine is definitely style over substance in general but it's good bathroom reading to me. I get all the stats and analysis i want on the net anyway.

I don't really mind the Magazine at all. Its a cheap, .50 cent a week thing. I'm not expecting miracles, and it normally has one or two things worth reading a week.
