ON right now is the American Poker Champs at Turning Stone, which is being broadcast "Live" on Fox Sports Net. Some Big names, including Phil Ivey, Paul Phillips.

anyone else watching this? I didn't turn it on until about 8:30 but the heads up portion has been pretty interesting.

Yeah I've watched the whole thing. This is so far and away better than the typical poker broadcasts that I'm not sure I'll be able to watch those anymore. And I like FOX's coverage of poker better than travel, espn, or bravo's. They do a pretty good job of describing the action and what the pot/blinds/bets are in a hand. ESPN is just abyssmal at that, travel is not much better. Bravo actually doesn't do a bad job of it, but the poker isn't that great (celebrity poker -it seems to be getting better, though).

I think depending on the time zones they started the coverage at different times.

It'd be really nice if ESPN would give more details about the blinds (they're a little better about that than they used to be, but still not great), as well as the entry fee for the different tournaments. There've been two no-limit WSOP tournaments where they've shown the final table, but said nary a word about the entry fee these guys paid (or won) to get in.
