Being a fan of the puroresu (Japanese bastardization of "pro wrestling") scene, I happen to know how to spell that name.
Jushin Thunder Liger
It's kinda funny, some of the independent local feds in Japan are VERY, VERY sleazy.
There's a guy in one of the bigger independent feds, who plays an angry, pushy homosexual character. His finishing manuver (I shit you not), is a modified piledriver, where he stuff the opponents head DOWN HIS TRUNKS before the piledriver.
But if you ever want to see a series of great matches, look for matches between Wild Pegasus (a pre-WCW/WWE Chris Benoit) and Liger :)

I say, there have a been a few obscure ones, but I still think George South is the best (I'm biased, choosing him of course). Many might not remember him, but I remember a match he had against Ric Flair on TBS's old Saturday Night Wrestling (with Dave Crockett and Tony Schavonie) and he wrestled Ric for about 30 minutes, if I remember correctly, his chest was beat red from the Flair (In his prime) chops, and finally succumbed to the Figure Four. Poor George, he was so close!

The sad part about that character was/is that Dale Torborg really wasn't a half-bad wrestler. He also had the misfortune of being cast as The KISS Demon.
And yeah, in case anybody wondered, he is indeed the son of former MLB manager Jeff Torborg, and was the Marlins strength & conditioning coach until his dad was fired.

I believe you may be right about that. My mind just immediately flashed to poor Torborg, saddled with a pair of bad gimmicks in roughly a year.
