I just looked at the Weather Channel online for my area, and the current forecast says it is 81 degrees with 'smoke'. Anybody have any idea what this is? Are we going to die from a chemical explosion, or did a bunch of highschoolers chillin with a dime bag just happen to roll by the weather gauge when they took the reading?

It could be fires somewhere. I remember when weather patterns were such that the whole northeast was covered in a haze of smoke, maybe from burning in the central american rain forests. It was quite something to see from the air, I flew from Logan to Houston and I don't remember when we came out of it.
I think something like that has happened with fires up in Canada, too.

Hmm, interesting. If that is the case, you can't actually see any smoke. Maybe once the level in the air reaches a certain point, it triggers the thing. I doubt it is sort of fire around here, I can't remember the last time that there was a forest fire in the area, primarily because we don't have many big forests around here ;)
