I found this excerpt of an interview with Nikki Sixx to be hilarious:
Irish Examiner is reporting that former MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx has finally understood how his outrageous onstage behavior must have appalled parents — after he took his daughter to watch a BACKSTREET BOYS concert.
Sixx says he was watching the boy band when singer AJ McLean grabbed his crotch in full view of the audience, made up predominantly of young girls.
And Nikki admits the experience made him appreciate just how bad his behavior once was.
Sixx says: "I've taken my daughter to a BACKSTREET BOYS concert. She wanted to go and I wanted her to experience it from the audience perspective.
"So we were in the tenth row, and they dropped this huge ramp out and AJ, who's the 'bad one', comes out and grabs his d*** with his hands, like, right in front of my daughter.
"I cover her eyes, and she's like, 'Dad'. And I was like, 'Oh my God, I must have put parents through hell.' Because I would actually pull mine out. That's the difference.
"That's why I covered her eyes — I was f***ing embarrassed because he's a wimp.
"No, as a parent I was like, 'Oh no.' It's f***ing hard work being a parent and a rock star at the same time.
"I say 'f***' and get fined in my own house. I'm going broke from my kids collecting on me for saying 'f***'. I say 'f**' paid for this house.' And then they charge me another dollar."

Not the way he looked as a Crue cuz that was sorta cool but the way he appeared on Metallica's Behind the Music.

that's hysterical. And Bucc, are you sure you're not talking about Mick Mars?
Now that was one ugly mofo.

Yeah, Mick Mars was proof-positive that being in a band guarantees you girls. That guy almost looks disfigured, not just ugly.

Actually, this was my personal favorite line from the story.

I tried to find a picture of Sixx as he appeared on that episode but I couldn't find out. I'll have to look at Mars though. Also, there was thos other rocker that was on Motley Crue's BtM (I think) that looked really goofy - no chin at all. I can't remember now who it was. He was talking about all of the booze and drugs on the plane for a freedom concert in Russia. Anyone recall?

anyone read their autobiography? it was pretty amusing.
they each took turns writing chapters (er, they each took turns dictating chapters to a ghostwriter)
at one point, Tommy Lee's wife (or maybe just serious girlfriend) is brought up. First Nikki starts talking about how he dislikes her, mostly because he'd slept with her once and didn't want Tommy to know. Then Vince later says the same thing.
in Tommy's last chapter of the book, he was talking about how he was currently dating Nikki's ex-wife. At first, he said, he was a little hesitant, but then he read Nikki's chapter in progress (whre he admitted to screwing Tommy's wife/gf), and didn't feel bad about it anymore...
it's a different life, that's for sure.

Speaking of Sebastian Bach, I found his comments about Canada's "content" rules and his exclusion from the Juno awards to be interesting. Can someone from Canada explain what CANCON is? It sounds like they require a certain percentage of programming to be Canadian? That's crazy!
And also, on a side note, if Canadians have disowned Sebastian Bach and Bryan Adams, have they done the same with William Shatner and Jim Carrey?
Former SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach has spoken to the Canadian Press about the current resurgence of hard rock with bands like VELVET REVOLVER and THE DARKNESS finding a welcome place on radio.
"To have VELVET REVOLVER as the No. 1 album on Billboard is great for all rock 'n' rollers," he says. "That's saying rock is back."
The only place metal's not welcome, Bach says, is Canada.
"Canada's far from the heavy metal capital of the world. They're scared of the word 'heavy metal' here. That's why Sebastian Bach had to move," he said, referring to his departure in 1987 to join SKID ROW. "I don't know why that is."
Bach's frustration with Canada was compounded during his days in SKID ROW when Canadian content rules prohibited him from being considered for Junos or benefiting from radio-play programs.
It was 1995 and try as he might - he wrote his music, hired Canadians Bob Rock to produce and engineer Randy Staub, and used a Vancouver studio to record the band's last album, "Subhuman Race" - the record industry wouldn't classify his music as Canadian.
"I was so determined. This whole CanCon thing is a sham," said Bach. "They tell people like me and Bryan Adams that we're not Canadian. It's an insult. Just because I sold albums in America doesn't mean I'm not Canadian."

Why in the hell would he want to be known as a Canadian?
