SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. - Two men who were arrested for walking through a Wal-Mart while wearing women's thong underwear blamed the stunt on a "triple-dog dare," authorities said.

The men, ages 35 and 36, bought two pair of underwear at the store Tuesday, went into a bathroom and came out wearing only the thongs and T-shirts, police said.

Witnesses said the men walked through the store and out to their car.

Police caught the men in the parking lot, and reviewed a surveillance tape before arresting them for public indecency and disorderly conduct.

When asked why they were wearing thong underwear, one of the men said a friend "triple-dog dared" them. They will not be prosecuted, authorities said.

Now doing this on a quadruple-dog-dare I could understand -- but for a mere triple?

I thought by the title that this would have something to do with the 'eye contact' thread.

The fact they did it at a Wal-Mart offers some hint of that possibility.

So if they did this at Dillard's or Macy's it would make them smart? I mean, if I was going to buy a pair of thong underwear for a dare I would at least be frugle about it.

In our town's older Walmart these guys would have never been noticed. I swear they should sell zoo tickets to get in there sometimes. It's very entertaining watching 350 women in stretch pants and stained t-shirts that proudly say 'HOTTIE' along with guys walking around in camo bib overalls. Ah, the joys of living in the south....

Sounds familiar. The Wal Mart on the south side of town has that kind of clientele. Up where I live, it's quite different. We went to the southside WM a couple of weeks ago, and I immediately noticed the difference.

Of course, since our WM is in the NE part of town, they went out of their way to make it nice. We even got hardwood floors instead of carpeting. I think it was the only way they could convince the county to allow them to build up there.

It would have added some flair at least. Walking out of a Wal-Mart I'm suprised they even stood out.
