1) There is very little linkage from FOFC that I deem wise to share with my wife.
This has been an immediate exception.

2) I'm vaguely disturbed by the notion that you might have been randomly looking through the Observer's weddings page in order to run across this.

My father-in-law is a dyed-in-the-wool conservative, a member of Dobson's Physician's Research Council, and it seems that he's becoming a recognized champion of medical research for conservative causes. He and my mother-in-law were near Charlotte this morning, and bought a Charlotte newspaper. He never read the article, but saw the picture and immediately assumed that the chick had married the horse, and that all of his gay marriage slippery-slope fears had come true already. He came home today (We're at their house right now.) and the first thing out of his mouth* was to tell me about the article and have me look it up online, which I did.

*--Both of his sisters are quite liberal, and neither his wife or son care much about politics, and then his daughter married an evangelical who is fairly politically knowledgeable, so guess who gets to hear all of his political rants... And y'all wonder why I have little patience for mrskippy and Bubba Wheels???!!!

Ok.. it hasn't been said yet (which makes me disappointed in all of FOFC)..

It can't be all bad..

I hear he's hung like a horse.

(grin, duck, RUN!)

It's a shame that on their wedding night, she found out he was a gelding...

That is one of the funniest things that has ever been posted here.

You can make fun of Fred Sexton all you want, but the bottom line is that he's opened up doors for horses all over America.

Before Fred was finally accepted to NCSU, only coeds and asses were generally considered college bound.

As cute as she is:

Why does he have such a long face?

Man, anything can happen in international waters. Hopefully they held a monkey knife fight as an encore.

(Although The Simpsons purists will correct me that it was the sea captain and a cow getting married in international waters, not a horse).

1. I hope he "doesn't break a leg"

2. Someone hate NCSU? :D

I finally get to the bottom and see this, I thought I was going to have to post it, and I didn't really want to but it is a must comment.

Easily the funniest part of that entire story :D

The pic is gone... Did anyone save it first?

The pic is gone... Did anyone save it first?Looks like they moved it to another page and combined it with some others. It isn't as humorous this way. In the original version, all of the other brides on her page were pictured with their grooms, but this chick was with her horse. At any rate...
