Honestly, how is FOF in multiplayer?

I own FOF, FOF2, FOF(the EA years) and TCY. I "switched" to TPF for multiplayer ONLY, so I've not gotten the new FOF. Yet, I may switch over to FOF if only for the guarentee of it's future. How is the multiplayer in FOF? Is it pretty easy to run? I've heard stories that its not, but want to know for certain before dropping any $$$ down

Awesome. There's a few quirks(namely depthcharts and gameplans getting messed up whenever you sign a player), but I've been having a fantastic time.

its pretty great. I set up an office league, but Cheney couldn't figure out how to export the files, its a little bit tricky.

Are you interested in simply joining a league, or are you asking from the standpoint of being a commissioner?

I have never been in a MP league before FOF MP, and I do not find it all that hard to run a league aside from running the website. There are a few issues, but once you and your owners know about them then it can run smoothly. Others who have run leagues with other games may be able to compare it to those games and give you better idea, but thought i would throw in that as a newbie to MP i don't have any MAJOR problems with it....

And it is a better game then TPF ;)

Other than those few quirks which only happen when you sign a new guy, I think it's great.

Its not nearly as polished as OOTP's multiplayer (my only point of reference), but it's good enough to be workable.

-Is it perfect? No
-Is it fun and fairly well put together? Yes, no doubt.
-I'm only a GM so I don't know how easy it is to put a league together, but I can tell you that it is fairly simple to GM.

You have to export a file and email it.

As a commissioner I can honestly say that it is what you put into it. The most difficult thing is the time consummation. I absolutely love it and devote a ton of time to communicating with my owners and being involved. If you dont have the communication Ive seen a bunch of leagues suffer, communication is key. The offseason is EXTREMELY time consuming, as a matter of fact, after doing one I can guarantee we will be making some changes for the next one. Now that the website is up and running, and the foundation is set, now its just rinse repeat but in the beginning its pretty damn tough to get the extras going. I find running the league in game pretty easy now, after some initial "getting used to it" stuff.

Speaking as a GM in the IHOF (www.fof-ihof.com (http://www.fof-ihof.com)) I can tell you that multiplayer FOF is a blast (even though my team has not won a lot of games this past season lol).
I'm a FOF addict and to be able, this one time, to share that passion withing one same league with other fellow addict is an unbelievable experience.

Actually, I'd say it's a feeling I had expected to share since I began playing FOF a long time ago and now it is here and I assure you it's not a disapointment !
Multiplayer FOF is the real deal.

Personnaly, that's what FOF2004 is for me : multiplayer.
I keep on playing FOF2 for my solo careers.
