View Full Version : Owens Interview in Playboy?

Anyone seen it yet?
I haven't but ESPN's Around the Horn is talking about it. Reportedly in the interview Terrell Owens states that he believes Jeff Garcia is a homosexual. He also reportedly talked about how bad McNabb's accuracy is.
Seems awfully stupid to make both of those comments. He wanted to come play with McNabb so bad, but he is taking shots at him in print?

Haven't seen it, but all the sports radio programs were talking about it today.
I hope the fans in Philly treat him the way I expect them to.

Hmm.. someone had better tell Carmella Decesare that Garcia is gay. Evidently they were going at it hot and heavy over the summer.

You just don't understand. Unless you're banging bitches by the dozen on road trips, you're gay.

That would explain the collective "THANK YOU" I just heard from Freddie Mitchell, Todd Pinkston and James Thrash.

Thrash is no longer an Eagle ;)
I'm not saying that it was an inaccurate statement, but I see no good coming out of a WR criticizing a QB in Playboy (or any other media outlet.)

I think he was assuming that since Garcia is gay he wouldn't be reading Playboy, and therefore, wouldn't kick his ass for calling him out as gay. :D

From what they put on Sportscenter, he never actually said Garcia was gay.
He said something to the effect of "Someone told me that when I smeel a rat, there's usually a rat" in reponse to a question about Garcia possibly being gay.
At least Owens said the diplomatic thing later by saying a player can be gay as long as it doesn't affect the on the field game.

Maybe then that explains why he pulled the stunt in Dallas a couple of years back. He mistook the star at midfield for a chocolate starfish.

LOL. Why do people play with schematics on these things? He said he was gay. Just because he took a roundabout way of saying it, he still said it.
What in the world is he doing ripping McNabb. He begged and pleaded to be an Eagle and now he's complaining before the first game? Yikes.

No, Ray Lewis is going to get injured sometime soon because he was on the cover of Madden. It's like set in stone or something ;).

But, he is of slight build and has a high pitched voice. Of course he's gay.

No, no it wasn't. Dallas fan or not, I can't see how you'd think that's great. Classless in my opinion, and I'd hope that any player on a team of which I'm a fan would never do it.

bah, it was a riot. the whole scene was hilarious. class is overrated when I'm lying on the couch watching a game. couldn't have laughed harder when ol broadway joe was trying to kiss suzie.

He said "Like my boy tells me: If it looks like a rat and smells like a rat, by golly, it is a rat."
And the 'diplomatic' thing he said was that if the player is good, and helping them win ball games... it would be ok that he was gay... he never said what he'd think if the guy was on the practice squad or something.

Why is it always QBs who are rumored gay? I heard a rumor about Vick lately... and in the past it was Kordell, Aikman, etc... Why never some of these pretty boy CB and WRs. Why never an O-lineman.

I think we just get exposed a lot more to the personalities of quarterbacks... so there's more fodder for speculation there. Plus, people tend to think that being "slim" is among the stereotypical gay characteristics... so the bigger position players would be less likely to fit that mold anyway.
But the more time you're on camera - the more time we have to hear you speak, to see your mannerisms, and so forth. That's probably the start of the speculation, in most cases. And QB is certainly the position most likely to get a lot of camera time.

That is beautiful. But it leaves out the best part, with him going back to his sideline with his tail between his legs, and his teammates on the sideline all going in opposite directions, so they won't be caught on camera near him.

Owens doing the star the first time was humorous.
Smith going to the star is response was a great comeback from him.
Owens getting destroyed when he tried to do it a second time was the perfect ending. :D

The link is workplace safe though others on the site are not. Carmella Decesare is apparently Garcia's current girlfriend. Not that that proves he is not gay since that girl is so hot Jim J. Bullock would hit it!
*Edit* Link will not let you followit. Will have to cut and paste to get to site.
