Looking to get some opinions about what some of you have success with. Now I am sure a lot of you are going to say Man to Man is the way to go, however, usually there are a lot fewer guys that can go man to man versus the amount that you can find that can play zone.

Has anyone found that if you load your secondary up with zone defenders that you have a lot of success? Same with Bump and Run or Man to Man? Any opinions would be appreciated.

I'm not sure... I conceptually am open to basing my scheme around whetever my CBs do well... but I confess, I almost alwasy end up pursuing CBs with man coverage skills, and therefore focus on those schemes. I can't think of a team I have played in FOF 2004 that relied primarily on zone... though I suspect it would work out fine.

In the little bit of FOF I've played (I do only multi-player, so I don't get that many results), I've found some gems in players that are rated low overall, but that "fit the system" -- have good ratings in the one category I'm trying to emphasize. I don't think one style matters, but I just try to run whatever my secondary runs best, and if I'm still not sure, I look at my LBs -- then I take the LBs that DON'T like that style of pass defense, and bump up their blitz percentages. As the seasons go by, I figure more and more of my players will be better at that style of pass defense.
