As many starting positions as we have, we could go with 10 teams instead of 12 and I think it would work just fine. That would just leave us needing 1 more. Is it even possible to drop to 10 teams at this point?

You can increase a league size so you should be able to decrease a league size as well.

I have to expand the league size to 12 again, which is no problem at all. That is the size we had wanted to begin with.
