thats right, i said it :)
using the strategy i listed below for hiring and firing doctors and you will never have "carry" doctors on a regular basis and waste money.
because doctors work every hattrick work day, but only get paid on saturdays, there is no reason to carry any on staff at all times. so only hire them when needed and only fire them right before the saturday econ update.
example...week 1, assume you have 0 doctors at the moment and 0 injuries. everything is great. mondays league match rolls around a you get whacked. 1 star guy with a +1 injury. immediately hire as many doctors as you feel necessary. we will hire 10 in this example. so you have 1 injured guy, and 10 doctors that havent gotten a pay check yet. rest of the week rolls by with no injuries in your friendly/cup match. friday night update puts your guy back to healthy, so you fire your 10 doctors costing you $15,000. not a problem since you havent paid them their weekly salary yet. so you had 10 "on demand" doctors for a week and it didnt cost you anymore than having them on staff regularly.
week 2 goes by with no injuries. dont hire any doctors obviously. so no cost.
week 3 gets another guy injured, so you hire 10 doctors and fire them before the update costing you $15,000.
had you had 10 doctors on staff regularly it would have cost you $45,000 in salaries for them. but in the example above i paid $0 in salaries and only $30,000 in "downsizing fees". this is because the downsizing fees were just what i was about to pay them in weekly salary anyway.
makes sense, right?
