I have two questions, just on basic HT functionality issues, but I cannot find anything about it in the official HT notes.

#1: Can you trade players with people? If theres a guy that has a player that I want, but can't afford and he needs one I have... can we trade them? Is there any way to do this or is it not allowed?

#2: What happens when someone just decides to quit HT. Example: Team A is in division III in the U.S. Obvisouly there are sweet players on that team and probably some money. When they quit HT, does someone on the waiting list just pop in and take over the team, players and all? Or does it wipe out all the players and give someone the team, but the team is still in divsion III? Or my only other thought would be a bot replaces Team A mid season, and then the open slot goes to a newbie for division VI somewhere. My friend got a team and he started in division V but with crap players and got regulated right away. I'm just curious if the same would happen for a D III team or what.

Thanks!

1. to a degree yes, but it requires a GM. and I have always heard a GM will not mess with trades unless it involves very high level players. you can do it on your own by just setting the price high enough no one else would want to bid on those 2 players, but I think GM's frown on it.

2. teams in divisions 4 or higher become abandoned and are "walkovers". the do not have a default lineup, therefore they automatically loose every game because of a walkover. it might take a few seasons, but eventually they fall down to div 5.
in div 5 or 6, when teams are abandoned they become computer controlled and just have a default line up. new players only take over teams in div 5 or 6.

You can trade players with a GM's approval. Both players are then put on the transfer list and you bid them up over market value. Although there is no official rules, GM's will generally only approve trades for players with a main skill of at least outstanding.

When a high division player quits (in the US div 4 and up), the owner is deleted after 7 weeks of inactivity. Prior to weeks 1, 7 or 15, the lineup is reset to a walkover. Once the team gets relegated to division 5, the players are deleted and the team is assigned a new owner.

dola. I type slowly.

To ecpand on saintjo's comment - If you try to trade players without GM approval you can get in trouble since it technically is cheating - you can't buy players at inflated prices.

Ahh thanks so much guys. I heard the "place them really high price" idea, but good to know it needs GM approval.

Thanks again guys!

Note that if you do 'apply' for a trade that it can take a week or a little over to get a response to your trade. From what I understand these are considered extremely low priority issues for the GMs.

Just for clarification, the second part of this is a big "no-no". You must get trades approved by GMs. If you do it on your own with really high prices, you'll risk fines.

And I will confirm that it takes about a week for the GMs to respond. So make sure you don't wait until right before a big match to make a trade :)

Trading would be pretty cool, but i don't really know that it's feasible in this game. A few trades here and there, between high level players probably is not a problem, but what happens is they do start some sort of trading market. Thoughts anyone?

PS please be sure to leave a smart ass response with any real responses placed.

Also, I believe I read somewhere that outstanding is the lowest they would allow.Trading would be pretty cool, but i don't really know that it's feasible in this game. A few trades here and there, between high level players probably is not a problem, but what happens is they do start some sort of trading market. Thoughts anyone? That's precisely where it happens. More or less, it's a thing where someone looking for a specific player goes out and look for that player rather than scour the transfer wire.
