I have Terell Owens on my fantasy team. If he sucks this year, do I still get to be happy about that or not?

He won't suck. Next question.

Next question. How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll pop?

I get a 1 for a "your mom" joke? You are generous.

It's not unethical to be happy when TO does badly. In fact, it's normal behavior. :)

While albionmoonlight brought up fantasy football, what does everyone think of this team I drafted today? I drafted second overall. It's a seven-team league, points-based scoring (no head to head) with the standard positions (1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Def Team).

QB Marc Bulger
QB David Carr
QB Jeff Garcia

RB LaDainian Tomlinson
RB Jamal Lewis
RB Chris Brown
RB Duce Staley
RB Thomas Jones

WR Chad Johnson
WR Derrick Mason
WR Andre Johnson
WR Jerry Porter
WR Plaxico Burress
WR Nate Burleson

TE Alge Crumpler

K Matt Stover

DEF Carolina (includes team's returning touchdowns in kickoff/punt situations)

Note: I drafted Kevan Barlow in the fifth round (after Tomlinson, Lewis, C. Johnson and Mason). One of the other owenrs really wanted him and dealt me four picks for him in the later rounds (I think 8th, 9th, 10th and 12th). With those picks, I got Bulger, Burress, Jones and Stover, and wrapped my team in the 13th round, three ahead of everyone else. I figure Barlow for a big year, but that was too much turn down, IMO.

Nice team, Chief, even for an 7 team league!

Never trade for depth in a 7 team league.

Never trade for depth in a 7 team league.

Even when what I traded away was just depth? Barlow wasn't starting for me (at least, that wasn't the plan).

My team
...
CRTomlinson and Jamal Lewis in one team? Wow. I don't call myself an expert, but that sounds like a big steal to me. Or is a 7-team league so much different from a 12-team league?
DEF Carolina can be a charm and the deep WR group makes it easy to pick guys based on matchup.

I guess since you got THomas Jones with one if those picks it's ok. In a 7 team league there will be a lot of free agents who will emerge as quality players therefore it is best not to trade one player for multiple players.

No, my money league has 12 teams and starts 2 QB, 3 RB, 5 WR, 2 K and 1 Defense and has 24 man rosters. In our case, depth can be very important as there is very little on the waiver pool. But yes in almost all leagues what I posted would be correct.

Sure, if you are in a money league, I suppose you pay way more attention on things like that than I do.
