One of my friends is trying to sign up, and he informs me that he can't, because the image verification doesn't work. What's up with that?

fwiw, talking to him, he's pretty web saavy, runs a couple of websites and vb forums, and says: "they dont have gd library installed"

I have switched Image verificaton off.

Your friend was correct re: the gd Library. I will need to find out what changed, because I assume it was working properly before today.
