Has anyone seen the commercials/trailer for the new Queen Latifah movie "The Cookout?"
Sure to be a terrible movie, but the basic premise is about a basketball player who is selected first overall in the NBA draft (to the Nets) and how he now has all this money, so he has his family and friends over for a BBQ. Anyway, what school is this stud from? Yep, Rutgers. Talk about poetic license.
The question is: do I give Queen Latifah my money just to see if there are any RU references in the movie?

Ugh... on your summary alone, I'm not even going to bother with that link.
I think you can wait for the DVD.

It looks worse than the movie with Queen Latifah and Jimmy Fallon (who is just really unfunny).

What a guy. Is it BYOB?
This is a premise for a movie that is being made?

Yeah. It's like a reporters asks him what he's going to do with his millions...and his whole family says (in unison), "HAVE A COOKOUT!"
Seriously.

It's only a "special appearance" by the Queen or I would have gone.
Ja Rule is in this. He should host the cookout. I saw this morning on some morning show that I guess they found out that a couple years ago when Ja Rule was on "Cribs", the house that he showed everyone wasn't really his house. He rented it for the show and told MTV it was his house. That had me in stitches...
