Root for your second favorite college team against Northwestern.
Opening college home game is a tradition I hope I never miss till I am 6 feet under. Go Frogs!

You know, most of the time fans use the team mascots' animal sound as a cheer. Do you guys yell out "ribbit, ribbit" on kickoffs?

Nope, HFP, those folks who get Fox Sports Arizona need to watch the start of the Mike Price era at UTEP when the Miners take on the Arizona State Sun Diablas at 9pm central.
Root on Jordan Palmer, Howard Jackson, Robert Rodriguez, and the rest of the Miners, FOFC!!!

I see TCU having a serious chance at crashing the BCS again, even with the changes taking away much of the computer impact. Their toughest game is going to be in Lubbock against Texas Tech. They get Southern Miss at home, to avenge the late defeat of last year.
My grandma went to TCU back in the Sammy Baugh/Davey O'Brien days, and I've always been a fan (except when they play Texas). When TCU beat Texas back in the early 90s, my grandma never let me hear the end of it.

I'm sorry, but I am going to root for my school, the Northwestern Wildcats. People should still watch, however, as this 7 1/2 point underdog will pull off the upset tonight in Fort Worth. Never underestimate the importance of solid lines on both sides of the ball.
For me it was a decision to watch this on TV or go to my old high school's rivalry game at Owen Field tonight. I think I'm watching the Northwestern game because I truly believe that we are going to be a solid football team this year.

TCU doesnt usually do well against teams with "Northwestern" in their name, luckily this one is a Div 1A team.

Wow didn't realize we had a few Northwestern alumni (and future alumni). You are forgiven.
The rest of you... shame on you!! :D

Zach Strief will be a RS Junior lineman this year for Northwestern. He went to my HS (senior when I was a frosh). Any big NW fans know how well he has done? Milford rarely has kids go to college for football (only him and the Razzano's)

I'm cheering on TCU because I like teams with stupid mascots...
Except that hockey team named after a frickin Disney movie. Fuck them.

Looks like TCU got away with one right there. Clearly interference.
Yeah, that one play was definitely interference.

That was crazy. It'll be interesting to see if that totally changes the momentum of the game.
Almost a sack, but turned into a TD.

Arguably the biggest play of the game to this point and the QB trips and falls down. If they don't make this 4th...

That was a great game. It was too bad it came down to missed kicks, but someone had to lose, I guess.
As far as the rest of the season, both teams could use a lot of work on defense.

Man, I still haven't gotten over this one. I'm glad OU has a better kicker(s) in DiCarlo (and Hartley). But man, this is a tough pill to swallow. I'm just glad Basanez is back.

Damn what a great opener won or lost. I didn't get home till 1:30 am
Northwestern put up a show in the 2nd half. The Frogs kept scoring so quickly that the defense got completely worn down.
This was the last game of the series between the two but I hope they decide to renew it because they have all been good games.

I didn't think there was ANY way TCU's defense could be worse than last year...I was wrong. :(
