Hey noop,

How is the hurricane affecting you? I'm in Miami right now, and am supposed to fly out tomorrow. I just had to leave my hotel, since it was in the primary evacuation zone. I'm in another one in Coral Gables now, hopefully it will be ok. This is my first exposure to a hurricane, what a trip!

Sorry I didn't reply before I was busy helping out with the house. The hurricane has made everyone stressed out because there is so much to do to prepare for the storm. Hurricanes that are as strong as this one are very scary man I hope your able to fly out because it could get ugly if it turns into Dade County. Hope it all goes well for you my good friend and when it passes can we have another poll? :)

:)

Although things can change, it looks like it is going to pass to your north.

Sure, we'll have a poll! I just heard that the Miami/Florida State game got postponed.

If I can't fly out, I plan on driving back to Austin tomorrow. They just announced that Ft. Lauderdale airport closes tomorrow at 10am, so that doesn't look for Miami. This storm looks to be a HUGE one. Hope y'all get everything in place to ride this one out!

Yeah, FSU/Miami is Friday night. I haven't read any of the stories, but word here is that ABC had to get permission from ABC News to preempt Barbara Walters that night. They didn't want to do it Thursday night, since the NFL opens, and they didnt' want to make it a regional game on Saturday and lose ad revenue for a nationally-televised game. So they bumped a touchy-feely interview session for football.

They just announced that there is no plan to close the Miami airport. Now I just have to hope that United doesn't decide to cancel my flight. I really don't feel like fighting evacuation/Labor Day traffic from here to Texas.
