I love it how LSU barely beats Oregon State in a sloppy field in their first game of the season, but lots of people and media will have them ranked lower than Ohio State, who barely beat Marshall on a clean field in their second of the year. Not to mention LSU is the defending national champs and should, in theory, get the benefit of the doubt over teams like Ohio State and West Virginia. Ah well, I think LSU will surprise a lot of people with their performance against Auburn next weekend.

Nah, i just believe in ranking teams based on how they've played on the field. Although your idea doesn't sound half bad. :D
