Comparing Nelly to Gn'R is like comparing Quentin Griffin to Barry Sanders.

Yeah, but GNR actually had 2 albums worth of material. Im sure Nelly hits redundancy by track 4 on Sweat(or Suit), whatever.

The guy had like three years to record the album instead of making his usually album he made to different ones. A clubby one and a grown folks one....

how he can come up with more than 5 tracks is an accomplishment.

For the love of god, please don't compare Griffin to Nelly... don't even compare human waste with Nelly... it's an insult to QG and an insult to human waste.

ok, so sweat is not great...... suit is by far the better album

this is a slight surprise due to the fact that sweat was the "party" album, which he's typically more well known for.

anyways, you should all check out "over and over" from suit, he features tim mgraw (i know, wtf) but it is a hot hot song........ trust me

Over And Over is a great song. I've been listening to it quite often lately.

I know nothing of Nelly, I just find it highly amusing that a guy released a double album named Sweat Suit.

Out of curiosity, why is this so offensive? So he chose to release two CDs instead of one. It seems like it's his business to and, if nothing else, seems like an amusing gimmick to try to distinguish himself from another rapper/singer.

Not to single out stevew since that seems to be the running theme in the thread so far but based on the comment "Im sure Nelly hits redundancy by track 4 on Sweat(or Suit), whatever.", it doesn't even sound like you've listened to either CDs before proclaiming these CDs crappy and Nelly an asshole/assclown for releasing two.

As an aside, I'm entirely depressed that I initially typed "albums" instead of "CDs". I feel old.

I've listened to a fair amount of Nelly in my day, judging from the lead single, et al, this is the same bogus shit hes been doing for so long now. And he named the fricking albums sweat, and suit, thats assclowny enough.

And he named the fricking albums sweat, and suit, thats assclowny enough.I have not listen to Nelly beyond recognizing a song on the radio and going, "that sounds like Nelly" so you would know better than me whether or not his materials or songs are new or worthwhile.

I guess what I am looking for is what's wrong with naming those albums "sweat" and/or "suit"? What is so assclown'ish about it? I cannot think of them off-hand but I would imagine there have been far worse names than these. Or what is so terribly wrong with releasing two different albums? I would imagine chances are the record company will end up spending more on promoting them and producing them than they will make back (I would think having two albums simultaneously would cut each other's sale) which makes it a bad investment, I just do not follow what makes it assclownish.

Sweat = Club Music
Suit = Grow folks music, so FOFCer's fall in to this range.
