I read this in the paper this morning. Nobody knows what he did; they're calling it an unknown altercation. Word is, he'll have his captain status revoked and possibly miss some games, although he has practiced and everything as normal thus far. Of course, I don't know when it supposedly happened. Nobody with OU is saying anything.

Dusty certainly hasn't been as dominating as he was last season when he was getting one-on-one blocking.

For those who haven't read much about this - Apparently, a childhood friend of his came into town last weekend to stay with him. They went out and did quite a bit of drinking last Saturday night and got into an argument. From there, accounts differ. Some say Dusty put him in the hospital. Others say he just pushed the guy who fell and hurt himself pretty badly.

Stoops isn't commenting, nor is anyone in the department or on the team. Rumors are that he'll be suspended for the game this week and have his captain status revoked. Additionally, the county D.A. is pushing for an investigation to determine whether charges should be filed.

Dusty has a history of drunken brawls apparently. Who knows what will come of it? Is professional wrestling in his future rather than the NFL? :)

Funny you said that. Jim Ross has tried like hell to get him to think about pro wrestling after he graduates from college. I don't know if he is a wrestling fan, but I know that ole JR has been bugging him for over a year now.

Yeah, I knew there had been at least one prior incident, and I read that this one was serious enough to put the guy in the hospital, although he was listed as being in fair condition. It just seems to me that Stoops would be a pretty tolerant guy and would have to feel like there was absolutely no hope to just drop a guy who many said had a solid shot at being a first or second round pick in the NFL. Surprising, that's for sure. And too bad.
