As much as the old school side of me likes defense and running games....it really is fun to watch two high-powered offenses go off.

Manning is 12/17 for 193 yards and 3 TDs in the first quarter. NFL.com does not mention any rushing attempts !!!

What is the record for completions in 1 game? Manning has had 17 in one quarter, on pace for 68!

Joe

:D I love watching my Colts, even though it can be very painful at times.

cthomer5000

45 completions and 70 attempts are the records. Both Bledsoe vs Minnesota in 94. That was an overtime game as well, FWIW.

Peyton : my keeper QB :D

What's the record for passing yards in a quarter? Or maybe what was the record. Wouldn't be surprised if Manning broke it.

cthomer5000
09-26-2004, 04:15 PM
also, 554 yards and 7 TD's are the other single game records.

Manning looks like he did in the playoffs last year, except of course against New England.

Manning has 34 fantasy points in the first 16 minutes of the game.

So far he has 65 points in the odd QB scoring FOFC fantasy football league.

Dola:

I'm liking this. Finally there could be a record breaking offensive performance not against the Vikings.

Joe
09-26-2004, 04:30 PM
is 34 fantasy points good?

How about the false start on Manning? Don't see that too often.

I almost pissed my pants when I read that. Like Wright replacing Dickey, Sorgi will have his day in the sun.

Packers - you might want to consider trying something different on defense.

not sure if there is anything they can do really. this kind of comes down to talent level, and the Packers are hurting there on defense.....

Let him throw a 1 yards TD pass here.

OK, its halftime. Lets give Reggie White, Brian Noble, Sean Jones, LeRoy Butler, Gilbert Brown, Eugene Robinson and any other Packer defenders from the last 20 years a call and get them in the game.

Colts 35 points in 30 minutes
Jacksonville 32 points in 180 minutes

Doesn't matter - the call was for illegal contact, not pass interference.

Danny
09-26-2004, 05:42 PM
Yes what happened? Walker is my best receiver on my money league team.

Cringer
09-26-2004, 05:52 PM
Walker got up, I think he was just shaken up. Will find out shortly if he is in on this next Packer drive.......

I put a call into Mark Lee and Mark Murphy but it might be too late to stop the secondarial (new word) bleeding.

Ah, Mark Murphy, thats the name that was on the tip of my tongue but I couldn't get......

This is going to be a crushing loss. I didn't give the Packers much chance, even though I was hopeful. But this ending is horrible.

GREAT GAME! BCould have been the best I've seen if the Packers win/won

What happened to Favre? I missed most of the 4th quarter except for the final series and Pederson was in the game.

Favre tweaked his hamstring a little bit.

He basically just got kneed in the hamstring by some big-ass lineman who was chasing him down.

I'm very confident that if they were only down by 7, that he would have been on the field for that final drive.
