No real shock here since Oklahoma hasn't played like a number one team in their last game.

Well, the defense didn't played up to par with other Stoop coached defenses. They did force four turnovers, but the offense couldn't take advantage of the field position. They also gave up a lot of yards on third down. The offense was solid at best. They did eventually wore down the Texas Tech defense in the second half. A C+ effort.

They also gave up a lot of yards on third down. The offense was solid at best. They did eventually wore down the Texas Tech defense in the second half. A C+ effort.

A couple things I would add: First of all, Tech played an unusual game for them, a ball control game. Their time of possession was easily more than Oklahoma which partially accounts for the score. Oklahoma played a bend, don't break defense which I agree has not been up to par thus far, and I certainly don't dispute the offense not taking advantage of the turnovers. But, for the most part, when they did have the ball, OU moved it and scored.

I was actually surprised to see USC not lose votes when they were almost beaten by a mediocre team in Stanford, but OU did lose votes when they actually pretty well handled a mediocre Tech team. The score wasn't really indicative in my opinion, as no one ever really got the feeling that Tech was in the game, and OU took knees rather than add on any more points.

This week will tell the tale about OU, but the cries of concern after the Tech game are seriously unwarranted to me.
