I was reading the IGN review of Superpower 2 and came across this line
GolemLabs says that the UN declined to allow its name to be used in their game...
The UN can really do this? If I wanted to create a UN simulation I'd have to liscense the name? How in the world is this possible?

Eh, they should just ignore them and go ahead and put it in anyways. What's the worst that will happen? The UN will pass a couple dozen resolutions to try and get them stop using the name but they'll never actually go after the company. :)

Yeah, and if Hans Blix shows up to inspect your code, you can just tell him to bugger off without fear of consequence.

When does 'video game name liscensing' come up on the UN docket?
