So what happened to all the FOFC: BenELew board talk about switching servers. It seems to have completely died in our transition back to reality. Are things still moving along behind the scenes, or have people already moved past it? Have politics just dominated everything and this is something we'll get back to shortly?

Have politics just dominated everything and this is something we'll get back to shortly? That's my guess. I still have the opinion that having our own server is the best option.

Note the signature. I'll let some else fight the revolution, but everyone should know which side I support.

I'm still interested in it. But it's really up to Ben and Ryan how it moves forward. They're probably still dealing with the current log-in issues as everyone still isn't back yet.

I expected a Franklin poll about five minutes after we were back up...

Well, you know how wrong exit polls can be before everyone is given the opportunity to enter the polling place.

Ditto.
I was vocal enough on the temporary board. I still think we should move, but, whatever. If we end up sitting around until it crashes again, I'll have a good time saying "I told you so..."

I've also been quite vocal about moving. Let's get it done.
I voted and still vote for moving.

Still looking into it.
Many companies are trying to push their Dedicated server products (only $150 a month!!!) on us because of our database size and the number of simultaneous database connections we have. I am not even going to try to raise $1800 a year because even if we incredibly did manage it once, it would be an ongoing expense, and that is far too much.
Also looking at other (much cheaper) options to see if they will work.

thank you for the update.
I think we should consider banner-ads at our own place, although I'll admit I have no idea how much money we could reasonably expect to generate in the course of a year.
