During my current FOF dynasty I came across an interesting QB and I was wondering if you guys thik that he should be considered for the hall of fame.

Melvin Appleton holds the NFL record for games started (242), Pass completions (5272) and Passing Yards (54,123). He is 9th in TDs with 272.
While those sound like excellent numbers that should make him a first ballot Hall of Famer, consider these other facts:

He holds the record for most Interceptions (268), and he is 9th in fumbles (51). His career QB rating is just 77.4. His career win-loss record was 95-151. During his 18 year career he had two winning seasons (including one in which he was sidlined for 9 games). He played in two post season games, losing both times. He never won any awards.

In 2026 he was inducted into the hall of fame with 100% of the vote.

Could this be a jacked up Testaverde?

the 95-151 record (.380) as a starter...and the fact that he only had 2 winning seasons makes him unworthy of the Hall of Fame in my opinion.

the fact that he got inducted on the first ballot (he can't be any different in FOF) with 100% is puzzling.

Way too many QB make the fof hall of fame. If you start a career from scratch, its likely that AT LEAST these guys make it almost every time using the default rosters that have been renamed, playing with a full x factor.

Vick
Manning
Leftwich
Bulger
Culpepper
Carson Palmer
Harrington
Carr
Favre

That is roughly a 4th of all NFL Qb's playing right now, it seems way too high for enshrinement.

The passing yards I think and his ''long'' career probably put him in but 100% vote? He must have been a fav. of the sports writers.
