I'm in a position now where I'd like to get this up and running again. SirFozzie has been very helpful and will hopefully participate in the league still even though he is swamped and unable to run it right now.

So in general, I'm curious as to who is still interested, and for suggestions on how to get started again.

We had just finished the conference tournaments and were just getting ready to announce the NCAA tourney brackets if I remember correctly.

Should we speed through the tourney and see who is around to start the next season? I have my own hosting space and site that is run by a friend of mine, so I will set up the file and the website there tonight if I have time, tomorrow night at the latest.

Bandwidth and webspace is not a problem, so I can include a bigger file and can include all box scores and some things that weren't always available on the original site... and am open to listening for any other suggestions for improvements.

Also, assuming we can get this going again, we are very near to a new season, so anyone not currently in the league that's interested in joining should speak up here and, once we get things moving again, we can get some new blood in the league.

I'm looking forward to watching Arizona once again underachieve and have my Flying Illini make another trip to the Final Four.

UTEP is back, even though we probably won't be good for a long, long time...

You do realize that I've been to the Final 4 as many times as you have

I'll try to get the NCAA brackets out tonight. That way, we can see how many human controlled teams are in and have a vested interest in the rest of the season. If most of our tournament teams are around and ready to go, we could get the tournament moving this week potentially.

I kept meaning to jump back in, so if you guys can find me an open team after the current tourney is over, shoot me a PM or e-mail.

I thought you were Memphis? Or do I have people confused?

I'll round up the list of human controlled teams and post a list of them somewhere soon and people that want in or want back in can start grabbing teams that aren't taken to get some new blood in for the start of next season.

I was Memphis, but I took a season or two off when I moved, so I was waiting until the next season was finished until I tried to jump in.

I don't own the game and could be a good way to force me to buy it and join this league, how fun is it online and easy to run?

Final Four is babytalk. I've been in the championship game both years. Cut down the nets and then talk.

Remember those warnings from the NCAA about paying recruits? I certainly do...

I'm still in.

I have a question, though. I just took over my team, and aren't in the tournament, but I still have a couple of open scholarships left. Could I download the file (when you have it ready), so that I can process my recruiting?

Yeah. I am assuming that it is currently mid-march. With lots of teams still active we'll just sim 1 round at a time in the NCAA tourney to let the big guns game plan for each game if they want, so you'll have more than enough time to get your recruiting in before the end of March.

Can i join then? can i take over a team now that the league is already running or better to wait until the end of the season?

You can definitely join.

Since it is mid-March and the NCAA tourney is starting, it makes the most sense to wait until the start of the new season.

I will post more info tomorrow including what teams are "taken"... new players are free to pick any team they want to coach that isn't already run by one of us. It will be a little while(at least a week, with the entire NCAA tourney to run still) before the new season still, we are just getting things going again after some downtime.
