The old board game? I used to play (like 100,000 years ago).

Is there a new one? I played this in the 80's.

Ohhhh, used to like Blood Bowl. Made a MUDD area once based off of Blood Bowl...

I just recently bought a new boxed set myself, as I wanted to start playing again. I was even thinking of starting a dynasty to tell of my teams exploits and blunders.

That is the name of the Fantasy Football league I am in.

OK, seems like we have some other players out there. I need some help with a skill. I got a rookie Wardancer who just went up in level and rolled doubles.
I can either:
1) Take any agility or general skill - seems to be a waste...
2) Take an agility trait - only one is Jump Up, or a general trait
3) Take any skill from any list...
Most of the time I like to give a WD at this point strip ball since most other teams do not have a lot of players with Sure Hands yet, but that seems like a waste of a double. Any suggestions?

The game is not fresh enough in my mind to give you a good answer. You should ask at hxxp://www.talkbloodbowl.com/phpBB2/index.php (http://www.talkbloodbowl.com/phpBB2/index.php)
How could you not like a war dancer with strip ball though? I remember when mine made a heroic leap over a bunch of orcs, blitzed the ball carrier, stripped the ball, recovered the fumble, and ran off toward the goal line. He was killed on the ensuing Orc turn.

I can get strip ball with any skill increase, that's why I would prefer not to get it now, cause I can get skills like Mighty Blow or even guard, but am not sure if I should take either....

Well if you can get it with any skill increase, don't waste a double on it.

Hmmm..
How many SP's are you at?
I might say Mighty Blow because it'll get you SP faster (great at low level).
Pro is good, but you can get that any time really.
BTW, if anyone ever wanted to do a Java BB league, I'm in. I played BB so much, that in one online league at one point, I had a legitimately 700 Team Rating Team ;)

I have 6 SPPs, so he just leveled. I was thinking about Mighty Blow or Dauntless, to counter all those nasty Rat Ogres and stuff.
BTW fumbbl.com is a great online league for BB. I used to play there quite a bit.

Love Blood Bowl :D
(and enjoyed Chaos League - would be better as a text sim, but very cool all the same ... the chaps making it are interested in improving the 'sim' side of things if they get to make a sequel by the way, encourage that possibility - purchase the game :D)

That would be a thing of a beauty. Blood Bowl would make for a great sim or even turn-based style game. A Blood Bowl draft would be fantastic. Friends of mine and I tried that with the table-top game. We made up some charts and rolled up an entire draft class. Great fun.
I had a mixed-race team of sorts. Human base, with some elves (skilled positions), and two halflings. The halflings were there to distract opponents. It worked well, people loved beating on those little fellas.

Not till they remove Starforce. Maybe not even then.
Until they remove StarForce, Chaos League won't approach my computer again. I did download the demo, but Starforce, well, that $*%$"# won't approach my computer again.

I was going to ask what Chaos League was about, but now I am more curious about StarForce.
Off to Google.
