He definitely took this way too far but come on, the story sets off the 'bullshit' meter big time. I felt that before I read the first steve post; in fact I felt it while reading Farrah's first ( edited )post.

The only thing that makes me think for a second it may have been real was that it makes no sense to make up such a story but then again, some folks do things because they can and I also have no clue about the people involved, either participants or readers so I can't possibly guess if there may have been a credible motive.

In any case, Farrahs story isn't credible and while I would have left it at that it seems that there are issues between Steve and Cam that made Steve go over the top so it's hard to judge if he's crazy or if he's just upset.

This, presumably from Arles is where I have to fall off the "benefit of the doubt" train. It's in the comments on steve's blog.



Fair question on the electronics, we are currently exploring our options on this and debating whether or not to submit a homeowner's claim (which I doubt we will do) or write it off as a loss.

The problem with filing a report on it is we will have to bring in the kid's actions on this and since we believe him (and took the settlement), we do not think it's worth the extra headache.


Not worth the extra headache? Thousands of dollars worth of electronics including a laptop? I just can't see not reporting a stolen laptop and trying to get it back just to save a kid you don't even know from charges he doesn't even have to face if you don't press them.

Now, I'm not rich so maybe if you have money to burn but Farrah had a comment on that one.

You're right I have piles of money laying around to purchase tires that didn't need to be purchased. I have plenty of other things to spend my money on.

So, what's funny to me is he seemed more like a lunatic before I read his blog but that shouldn't be surprising since the first threads were in enemy territory so to speak.

One thing for sure, I wouldn't want to get on the dudes bad side in any case. Wow!

One last thing that I find interesting. If this were done to a "public person" such as was done to Kerry and Bush over seemingly asinine things like this everyone would say it was fine. Well, half would say one is fine and the other half would say the other is fine so it would equal 100% that approved of the tactic in general.

It gets really creepy though when it's used against just another citizen and I think that's what I felt here and what everyone else is feeling especially since we can't see any real motive to either lie or to dig that deep even if there was one.

But in this venue is Farrah really a citizen? Cam Edwards, the radio host is clearly a public person as far as his show and all such offshoots from it or his "persona" therefore I'd say his Blog employees who are public ( ie his writers )would be fair game as well.

So, it's creepy and seems blown out of proportion but since I can't even fathom the telling of the weird story in the first place nor do I know the history between these two so I can't possibly conclude which side is wackier than the other or if either side is wacky at all.

But seriously, if he did all of this "just" because he was upset, he's a nut case. He's one step short of those people who shoot their neighbors over meaningless things. "He shoveled that snow into my yard, so I popped a cap in his ass!"

And maybe it's just me, but it would just seem like it should be illegal to have a receipt faxed to you that was not your purchase, especially since it holds credit card information and other stuff....maybe it's just me...
