Got our asses kicked, I didn't watch the 2nd half so I don't know how in the hell we outscored them 45-41, when in the first half they killed us 42-21. Salim Stoudamire is nasty, every time down the floor they seemed to be wide open while we couldn't find an open shot or a good look... it's sad trying to get attached to a national team that you attend, that happens to suck.. :(

The second half yesterday was very respectable for us. I'm really proud how we came back after being down 33 to cut it to 15 at one point. I'm really proud of us making it to the second round of the preseason NIT. We were the only team to win the first round game on the road!!!
Shorty, we're not gonna suck as bad as you think. We were 14-4 (10-6) last year with mostly freshmen. I think we have maybe the best team we've had since I started there in '97. That's scary with only one senior and one junior. Pencil it in, next year is the year we're gonna make a run at the NCAA's.
We play Sunday at 1 PM vs Brown, hope to see ya there!!! :D

That is, provided your coach doesn't get canned for his role in the Jim O'Brien/Ohio State payoff scandal.

yea, apparently he's the reason our lone senior Zach Williams transfered from OSU.
i just don't think we have any really good standouts, king.. i like what Zakee Boyd did off the bench, and Wood is ok, but Vova is not very impressive, or anyone else for that matter.. but I've only watched them against a national power, so maybe I'll see the stars as they play their Horizon League counterparts! http://dynamic2.gamespy.com/%7Efof/forums/images/smilies/cool.gif

Wait, Wright State beat Tulsa? Looks like there will be at least a couple easy wins for the Miners in WAC play... :D

I graduated in '02 ;)
Wood/Williams should make all-conference this year. Wood should average at least 10 PPG, and more like 15. He was our MVP last year. Williams should get 10/7. He averaged like 8/5 in the big ten, so I think 10 pts/7 boards is reasonable in the horizon league. Drew Burleson is due for a breakout year. Hopefully it's this year and not next year ;) Drew came on last year and averaged like 7.5 PPG. He's our leading returning scorer. He's a great rebounder, especially on the offensive end of it. He gets at least one or two a game and usually puts them back for scores.
Still learning the other starters: Jaron Taylor is a JC transfer and Everett Spencer is a freshman. We'll see how they do.
That's my story on WSU hoops. Can't wait til Sunday's game!!! Visit www.raiderroundball.com for more info. The forum there has some hardcore fans :)
