All games look very interesting, no real pushover matchups.
I'll be at the Titans at Jags game, what to expect is up in the air.

Glad to see the Aints brought their defense. First play for the Broncos, 51 yard TD run.

Ugh. Did you see Musa Smith's ankle injury? Roy Williams landed right on it and popped it. They had it in slow motion, kind of dangling there, but they said they aren't going to show the replay again. It makes sense because it was pretty nasty looking.

Touchdown Tampa Bay!
...and Jurevicius casually hands the ball to the Air Force pilot after the score and gives him a pretty good looking salute.
:)

Damn! Big TD for Jurevicius! He got his bones rattled, but holds on for the 40 yard TD strike! 21-0.

GO PANTHERS. First the 49ers go down, now the Cardinals! BRING ON THE DOLPHINS.

Nate Jones forced a fumble towards the end of the first half to kill a Ravens drive. :)

27-3 the Colts are killing the Bears. Manning has reached 200 TD's (201 actually).
With the Colts having a short week (they play Detroit on Thanksgiving) I think they'll bring Sorgi and company in if they keep this up.

Michael Clayton is f***in awesome. He goes deep and fights with the 49er corner the whole way, snags the ball but the ref's gather and call both offensive and defensive interference. (never seen that before) Replay the down.
The Bucs run the exact same play with the 49ers running the (apparent) exact same 2 ILB blitz. Clayton wins again on the bomb! Pittman punches it in!
28-0!
Lions get a safety... awesome

Oh, and Quincy is still Quincy... Nice pass under pressure into double-coverage (and a receiver that was NEVER open). The result is an INT.

The Bears are the worst 4-5 team in the history of the NFL...
Dutch
11-21-2004, 02:20 PM
I didn't know people kept track of bad 4-5 teams. :D
Speaking of bad teams, don't blame the 49'ers punter. He just booted one 70 yards through the air and got a 81 yard punt out of the deal.

I don't how much chance a depleted Bears defense without their stud LB really stood against the Colts offense.

Q. just threw the worst pass I've ever seen in the NFL. Chrebet was 7 yards in front of him, wide open, and Carter throws it into the ground 2 yards in front of Chrebet. unreal.

The Bears pass offense was averaging 4 yards per game more than Baltimore's entering today. Its pretty safe to say they will be able to claim the league's worst pass offense after today.

I take that back. ESPN hasn't updated since last week. The Bears are averaging 126 yards per game though the air. Baltimore is 2nd worst averaging 140.

Shockey is "better", I'd rather have Crumpler on my team.

I think when at his best that Shockey is the best tight end in the league. Unfortunately the dude just seems like he doesn't care, and looked best in his rookie year. I wouldn't want him on my team at this point.

Like cthomer said, at his best, I think Shockey is better than Crumpler, and if I needed one of the two to make a single play, I think I'd rather have Shockey in the game than Crumpler. But I think his attitude sucks and he can be a cocky showboat, which is why I'd rather have Crumpler on my team.
Gonzalez, Heap, and Crumpler are all better than Shockey, unless the category is over-hyped players.
GrantDawg
11-21-2004, 03:49 PM

I wouldn't argue that. Crumpler has got to be top 5, though, and well over the hyped Shockey.

But why? Shockey faster? No. Better hands? No. Runs a better route? No. Better blocker? Not even close. The only thing Shockey has over Crumpler is hype.

Yeah, the Falcons kind of shut down at halftime, but they won the game.Vick sets an NFL record with his 5th career 100-yard rushing game, and gets up around 640 for the season. He's got a pretty decent shot at 1,000, and he's gotten his passer rating up around 85 for the season. He seems to be coming into his own.

The opening drive was pretty much a Vick highlight film. If he can play at that level in the playoffs, the Falcons will be very very tough to beat.

Random Thoughts on the games
1) So is Drew Henson going to start on Thursday?
2) Does Aaron Brooks throw a ridculous pass EVERY week?
3) Eli Manning did not look bad at all in his first start. I still hope he sucks royally(personal hate sorry), but he played pretty well today
4) Anybody need a offensive coordinator. I am thinking Martz will be available
5) Another game another Miami QB throws a perfect TD pass to the other team! :o

That's a very peculiar statement, Corey. If any player or team plays perfectly for a whole game, than it would probably be unbeatable.

I disagree. I don't there there are many indivdual players whose performance can so drastically affect the oppositions chances. Peyton Manning and Vick are in a class of their own right now.

God Damn It... did the Falcons want Eli to win his first game? They SUCKED in the 2nd half. Personally, all year I've thought Mora played way way way too conservative in the 2nd half if he had the lead in the 1st. I can't explain how it happens every week except bad coaching.
They played very good in the 1st half. They should make sure that the 2nd half never happens again, or else with better teams there will be problems.
Damn, can we have worst luck/play worst?
Feeley got injuried in today's game, Fiedler comes out... and injuried too, Feeley comes back to the field (seems he was the less injuried of them) and after a not bad game he throws an interception returned for TD at 1:30 to the end of the game when we were tied :/
This season is being so long, how much time until 05/06 season?

Agreed. I think Gonzalez is a solid number one, at least as far as receiving, but behind him there are three or four really, really good ones, and I think Witten has to be included in that group. He's still young and makes mistakes, but he's a complete tight end and pretty outstanding sometimes.
