That does seem a bit odd considering that particular celebration has becoem quite widespread. Almost every team does it these days.

In other news, patting other players on the butt will now constitute a $10,000 fine.

They are doing them a favor. That looks queer.

And, watching a bunch of 300+ guys standing in a circle holding hands does not?

Good point. Maybe it's that they are so gleeful in the endzone that makes it worse.

A.J. Feeley probably wanted to fine the guy who swatted his butt in the Seahawks game last week. I don't know how many people saw it, but the poor guy had a severely bruised backside after a fall earlier in the game. Anyhow, the Fins score a TD, and as Feeley is limping off the field, a teammate swats his butt, and Feeley gets this look of agony on his face.
Haven't the Dolphins suffered enough?
I think these guys are making enough money that they should continue to celebrate and just look at it as donating to charity after every score.

Is the NFL TRYING to get the players pissed off and possibly strike the next time they can? Nonsense like this builds up over time.

Now if they can just figure out another way for the qb to get the ball from the center, we'll be all set.

It's not really fair to look at one particular harmless dance and say it's not right. It's the slit throat routine or the humping the ground or the air or the goal post dances that are being shunned. And when the Colts do something harmless like this and get away with it, the NFLPA jumps all over the league for stopping one type of dance and not the other. The NFL has to present an clean image to it's audience and the Player Union will file suit if the NFL doesn't enforce it's rules all the time.
It's just another catch-22 and it's a lose-lose for everybody.

I like the Johnnie Morton and The Worm. That should be ok.
